Dr. Ava Reyes, a xenobiologist, wakes up alone in a bioluminescent alien jungle after her colony ship crashes on the wrong continent. Her neural-implanted system interface is damaged — scanning resources but glitching. She has to build shelter, find water, learn what's edible, and survive a hostile alien environment. On Day 22 she finds Tomas Kwan, a structural engineer. Together they build a real base. But the fungal network carpeting the jungle floor isn't just a plant, and something watches them from the treeline.
